Starting Wednesday, September 23rd meals will be available for curbside pick up once a week from 11-12 at the front entrance of Cody High School for children no attending school in person, or attending our rural schools.

We are gauging the need for meal kit distribution for children not attending school in person. Those who are attending school in Cody in person are not eligible for these meal pick-ups as free meals are available daily at their school building. Parents, staff and students! We continue to work with Park County Public Health as we have more active COVID-19 cases in our student population at CHS. When a positive test result is reported to public health, a local/state public health official will contact the student or their parent to complete an investigation and gather the following information:

1. School, grade, classroom, and activities for student.
2. Symptoms and symptom onset date.
3. Underlying health conditions.
4. Close contacts (within 6 feet and no mask for 15 min. or more).
5. Date of last contact with the person with COVID-19.
6. Any other relevant information to public health.

Public Health will order either isolation or quarantine. The school district will NOT make that decision, nor advise students to stay home. Our school nurses will send students home if they come to school with symptoms.

Parents, please ensure that you have contacted the building principal if public health has ordered isolation or quarantine of your student. Students will need to be in touch with their teachers for immediate access to remote classes.

In order to keep our schools open, we are appealing to all of you to use caution when in crowds (masks and social distancing). Masks and clean hands are critical to our keeping the school buildings open and educating our students in person.

This is not an invitation to debate the efficacy of masks. It takes a village! PLEASE HELP US OUT!
